Our fundraising goal: $4 million
We exceeded our Campaign goal of $4 million! Thank you to everyone who donated. However, the needs are still there and any additional dollars will go towards scholarships and improvements to the school. To view our list of current donors, visit our Donors page. Thank you to all!
The EHSAF currently has an endowment fund of $4.5 million. In 2020 the fund awarded $186,700 in post-secondary scholarships to 87 students. Despite this admirable trend of success, the EHSAF is now seeking additional funds to reach more students and enhance the educational experience at East High.
It is against this background that the East High School Alumni Foundation crafted its mission to help as many students as possible obtain a higher education and adopted the East High School motto, “For the Service of Humanity.” “The East High School Alumni Foundation (EHSAF) provides an avenue for alumni, businesses and the community to contribute to scholarships for deserving East High graduates to pursue their higher education.”
In addition to expanding our scholarship fund by $500,000, we also are seeking $3.5 million to update and upgrade East High School’s outdoor facilities. This would allow us to improve East High School extracurricular facilities and equipment for arts and athletic programs, which currently lag behind comparable facilities and equipment at the surrounding suburban schools.
Tim Pearson (Class of 1968) and Steve Taylor (Class of 1966), co-chairs of the capital campaign, and Ron Pearson (Class of 1958) share their stories, the needs and their commitment to the success of East High School students today and going forward. This capital campaign will help to ensure that success.
